Keto “Hazelnut” Spread Recipe (Chocolate & Peanut Butter—Low Carb “Nutella”)

Jump to recipe and more…

This recipe is the perfect healthy swap for hazelnut spreads you’d find in the store!

Obviously, this stuff is going to be healthier than regular hazelnut spreads—but it’s also lower in calories, higher in protein and lower in fat than all-natural (no sugar) peanut butter (making it even more guilt-free)!

Best of all? There are only two ingredients (and they’re each good to have on hand even if you’re not making this recipe every day)!

I hope you enjoy this delicious, chocolatey treat as much as I do! Serve it up with your favorite berries and some low-carb toast!

PRO TIP
It’s best to only make as much of this recipe as you need since it firms up and becomes less spreadable after refrigerating (divide the recipe in half if you need to).

Keto “Hazelnut” Spread Recipe (Chocolate & Peanut Butter—Low Carb “Nutella”)

  • Total Time: 1 minute
  • Yield: about 1 cup 1x
  • Diet: Low Calorie

Description

A keto-friendly chocolate peanut butter spread that’s guilt-free!

Ingredients

Scale

For serving:

Instructions

  1. Add peanut butter powder and protein powder to a high-sided bowl. Mix thoroughly until completely blended (this step makes the final spread smoother).
  2. Carefully add water a small splash at a time (see notes), mixing in between, until the mixture becomes loose, smooth and spreadable (you can add a little more peanut powder if it becomes too liquid).
  3. Season with a pinch of salt (optional) and serve with berries or your favorite low-carb toasted bread (this spread is also great with mug bread recipes)! Keep refrigerated.

Notes

Net carbs: 1.4g

Adjust by adding a little more water if you’re looking for more of a “drizzle” than a “spread.”

You can add more low-carb sweetener if your protein powder and peanut butter powder aren’t sweet enough on their own.
