Keto Cheese Crackers
Jump to recipe and more…
Everyone loves a crunchy snack! This recipe is designed to replace store-bought cheese crackers (like Cheez-Its) without having to go out and buy a bunch of ingredients.
All you need is some thin, pre-sliced cheese (the deli-style stuff that you probably have in your fridge).
Melting the cheese in a low oven makes it soft and bubbly which creates pockets of air that turn ultra-crispy as the crackers bake/dehydrate (thanks to the low and slow cooking temperature/time)!
Sprinkle the cheese squares with your favorite seasoning (like rosemary or even BBQ rub) before baking to pack these crackers with even more flavor!
Keto Cheese Crackers
- Total Time: 1.5 hours
- Yield: 32 crackers 1x
Description
Easy recipe for cheesy, keto-friendly crackers!
Ingredients
- 8 slices of thin, pre-sliced cheese (like Sargento thin sandwich slices or cheese sliced thinly at the deli counter—American cheese slices won’t work)
Instructions
- Stack cheese slice and cut slice into quarters. Evenly arrange on a parchment-lined sheet pan (about ½” apart).
- Bake at 250°F for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and leave crackers in for a further 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven, let cool completely then enjoy! Store refrigerated (see notes) then reheat in the microwave for a couple seconds (or let them come up to room temp) before eating.
Notes
Net carbs: <1g
You can probably get away with not refrigerating these since they’ve been mostly dehydrated in the oven, but I like to keep them refrigerated so they keep for longer.
