Hey there—I’m Nate! I’m passionate about developing delicious, healthy recipes and exploring better living through low-carb, wholesome cooking! I love cooking simple, delicious food—but I also like recipes that are a little more adventurous. I’m not a big fan of “fluff” (or talking about myself) so I’ll try to keep this short and sweet with some quick blurbs about me.
I LOVE food and cooking! When I was younger, my friends asked for iPhones and PlayStations for Christmas—I asked for cookbooks. Growing up, my parents completely supported my passion for cooking (I’m pretty lucky).
I’ve never really been overweight, but my weight has fluctuated throughout my life (despite my best efforts, which was frustrating). Even though I had been exercising most of my life, it wasn’t until recently that I found a sustainable diet (the ketogenic diet) that allowed me to consistently lose weight without depriving myself of delicious food (which is important because, again, I LOVE cooking and food).
So far, I’ve lost over 30 pounds (185lb to 150lb-ish) by following a relatively loose ketogenic diet and exercising on a regular basis (weightlifting 4-6 times per week and light cardio). When I’m feeling particularly motivated (or trying to diet down for swimsuit season), I’ll focus more on eating nutrient dense, well-sourced whole food (local, pasture-raised, organic and all that good stuff) while limiting dairy and high-calorie keto-copycat versions of unhealthy food (things like low-carb ice cream, fathead pizza, etc.).
In my opinion, successful dieting is all about knowing how to cook a variety of recipes (I call this having a “repertoire”) that are (mostly) simple and delicious—and that satisfy your appetite no matter what you’re in the mood for. Without variety and “go-to” recipes on hand, you’re more likely to fall into old habits and “cheat” on your diet. But don’t worry, being versatile in the kitchen doesn’t need to be complicated or time-consuming (some of the best recipes are also the simplest)!
To be honest, I don’t know where the name “Keto Bosh” came from. I really just wanted to pick a name for the blog that wasn’t already taken and was unique enough that other bloggers/creators wouldn’t accidentally use it.
I’m glad you’re here, I want to give you what you’re looking for and I know you have a bazillion other choices when it comes to finding recipes online. Because of that, I promise to make your experience on my website as pleasant as possible by publishing thoroughly tested, clear recipes with video instructions and, most importantly, I promise to never waste your time with annoying 3rd party advertisements, dumb blog stories or any other filler or “fluff.”
The BEST way to stay in the loop and get new recipes is to sign up for the recipe newsletter (I also send exclusive coupon codes and other discounts on my favorite keto products to email subscribers).
